Gettelman, Dennis John December 6, 1943. Died June 24, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Survived by his loving wife Janice (nee Schulteis), and children Gwen (Scott Mehlos), John Henry (Kathryn), Kristi, Tom, and Jamie (Nick) Kasten. Proud Grandpa of Brett, Lauren, Benjamin, Nathan, and Evan. Further survived his siblings; by Donna (Elroy) Kleinmann, Lester (Violet), Mary (Robert) Madalinski, Harry (Sandy), Barbie (George) Herdina, and Sandy (Wally) Garner, and in-laws Richard Schulteis, Dennis Schulteis, Joyce (Warren) Dhein, and David Schulteis. Preceded in death by his granddaughter Paige. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 29 at 12:30 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Church, W204 N11924 Goldendale Rd, Germantown. Visitation will be at the church before mass from 10 AM until the time of mass. Burial to follow mass. The family would like to thank the staff from Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin, Cancer Care Center at Menomonee Falls Campus, Kathy Hospice, and Lawlis Family Hospice. Dennis enjoyed meticulous model railroading, weedless gardens, level front lawns, perfectly stacked wood piles, John Wayne movies, and NASCAR racing, but most of all spending time with his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Boniface Parish or Charity of your choice appreciated.
