Dennis Kowalewski

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on January, 25, 2017, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Sherwin) for 48 years. Loving father of Matthew and Luke (Laura). Grandfather of Owen, Addison and Avery. Further survived by his three brothers Joel, Gary, Dick and special nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws and friends. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Lorrelle Kowalewski. Prior to his retirement, Dennis served as a Milwaukee Police Officer, Tactical Squad and Instructor at the Milwaukee Police Academy. Visitation Monday, January 30, 4-7 PM at the Schramka Funeral Home, 13220 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, with a Vigil Service at 7 PM. Visitation also Tuesday, January 31, 10-11 AM at Christ King Catholic Church, 2604 N. Swan Blvd., Wauwatosa, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Vitas Health Care, 2675 N. Mayfair Rd., Wauwatosa, WI 53226 would be appreciated.
