Dick Koel

Dick Edward Koel Sunrise: October 19, 1954. Sunset: May 22, 2019. We are heartbroken to have lost a brave husband, son, brother and friend to cancer. Dick loved Natural landscaping, woodworking, making old things look and work like new. He was the best partner for motorcycling, camping, on road trips with his wife, family and friends, or just hanging out. Dick's zest for life was amazing. He lived each day to the fullest with a smile and saying, "it's all good." He rarely had a day without starting or finishing a project as witnessed by the wood-craft throughout his and Jan's home. He had an artistic eye for making things beautiful. There were no judgements against people and he never held a grudge. He was a gentle soul with a sunshine personality. Survivors include his Jani-girl, his dad, Art Koel (LaVerne, deceased); mom, LaVonne (Ken) Doss; brother, Michael (Jayne) Koel; sisters, Karen (Fred) Russel, Anita Hero, Lois Koel, nieces and nephews. Further survived by sisters in law: Louise (Dave McCloud) Schirmer, Donna (Howie) Manos, brothers in law; Dan (Chris) Schirmer, Tom (Marge) Schirmer and their children and his step-siblings; Donna (Alan) Mooney, Randal (Agnes) Doss and Daniel (Patricia) Doss.
