Donald Dean Kupferschmidt was born to eternal life on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of 50 years to Mary (nee Thush). Dear father of David and grandfather to Isabella May. Brother to Cindy Hinich. Don was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Emma (nee Graf) and son Scott.
Don worked in information technology and traveled to Germany, France, Great Britain and various cities in the US for part of his career. He enjoyed going up to Northern Wisconsin and was a licensed amateur radio operator. He was especially proud of having a repeater in Eagle River, WI for amateur radio. His call sign was KD9PT.
Per Don’s wishes, no services will be held. Inurnment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon, WI at a later date.
