Donna Blankenheim

(Nee Forrest ) Went home to her King, and to the love of her life on December 31, 2015 at the age of 85. She was surrounded by great love; a love we learned from her and Grampa thru the 63 years they were married. She and Grampa raised 5 amazing children and filled the hearts and and bellies of 6 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. She was always full of laughter and smiles. She was a faithful soul and brought God to everyone she knew. Loving mother of Betty (Terry) Silagyi, Mary (Tom) Waits, Patrick (Patty) Blankenheim, Mike (Joani) Blankenheim, and Catherine "Cate" Puerling. Proud grandmother of Colleen Kallas, Andy (Rachel Muck) Kallas, Cortney (Gregg) Claypoole, Sarah (Nick) Thieme, Jason (Ally) Blankenheim, Melissa Blankenheim, Kelly, Anne, Michael, Michelle, and Steve (Stephanie) Berg. Great-grandmother of Charleigh, Isabela, Ethan, Connor, Britt, Sophia, Kyle, Justin, Zack, Jordan, Autum, and Audrey. Donna will be missed by her dogs Sadie and Sissy. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 4, at 2:00PM at St. Matthias Catholic Church. 9306 W. Beloit Rd. Visitation on Sunday from 4:00PM - 8:00PM at the funeral home chapel. Interment private. "The thing of it is, this is my party..... you can cry if you want to but be happy for me, I am home, I am with dad; I'm safe with God, he's got me."
