It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen M. LoCicero, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Doreen was born on a warm summer day, Wednesday, June 26, 1935, and peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the age of 90.
Doreen was the epitome of love and devotion, known by all as the greatest mom ever. She had a remarkable ability to care for her family with a loving disposition and a touch of spiciness. Her warmth and humor filled every room, and her endearing tales of embracing the learning curve of newlywed life—like figuring out how to boil potatoes—brought smiles to many.
Throughout her life, Doreen took immense pride in her family. She is survived by her cherished children: Nicholas (Sharon) LoCicero, Paul J. (Phyllis) LoCicero, and Anne (Bob) Bingham. Her legacy of love and laughter continues through her grandchildren: Michael (Meg) LoCicero, Anthony (Catherine) LoCicero, Emily, Claire, Madelin LoCicero, Faith Bingham, and Joe Bingham. Doreen's heart swelled with pride for her beautiful great-grandchildren: Gianna, Layla, and Bennett.
A true homemaker at heart, Doreen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an enthusiastic gardener, a skillful cross-stitcher, and had a deep appreciation for the timeless music of Neil Diamond and Frank Sinatra. Her husband, Vincent LoCicero, delighted in being the family chef, a role that Doreen humorously accepted with self-assured grace, often joking about her limited culinary expertise.
Doreen was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Marion Griffiths, sister Janet Schacknuth, and her devoted spouse, Vincent LoCicero. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and the stories shared among family and friends.
A celebration of Doreen's life will be arranged by Schramka-Densow Funeral Home in Thiensville. Those who knew Doreen will remember her not only as a loving matriarch but also as a real diva, a woman whose presence and personality will be dearly missed but fondly remembered. The family will be holding private services at a later date.
