Backes, Doris M. (Nee Laufer) Sunday, January 3, 2016, age 86 years. Preceded in death by her husband Daniel. Loving mother of Jim (Ellen), Jeff (Sue), Peter (Danielle), Mark (Cindy), Doug (Kath) and David (Wendy). Proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Beverly Winkler, Eugene (Glenda) Laufer, Kay (Harvey) Wester, James Laufer, the late Thomas (Shirley) Laufer and Sandy (Tony) Laufer Blake. Further loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Doris was a true matriarch to her family and a member of the Schoenstatt family. Visitation at Lumen Christi-Thiensville, 138 W. Buntrock, Thiensville on Saturday, January 9, 2016 from 10 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 2 PM. Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
