Doris Wright

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her devoted daughters on April 18, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late James for 64 years, loving mother of Christi (Steve) Melzer, Nancy Geiger, and Susan (Darryl) Schmitt.  Proud Grandmother to Matthew, Mitchie, Elena, and Nathan. Joined her loving husband Jim, parents Daniel and Sena (Peterson) Paul and precious twin sons Jimmy and Danny. Doris and her husband Jim were members of the Menomonee Falls community for over 62 years.  During those years Doris raised her girls, worked and volunteered at the YMCA, volunteered at the Menomonee Falls Nursing Home, and was a member of Community League for 40 years. Doris loved reading, golfing, traveling with Jim, musicals, and more recently Hallmark movies and Milwaukee Bucks games.  She will be fondly remembered for her love of family, spirited nature, kindness, and lifelong friendships.  She will be greatly missed by her family, other relatives, and friends. Special thanks to Horizon Home Care and Hospice, especially Nurse Maria, Katie, Jennifer, Sandy, Lisa and Julia. There will be no formal service, private family interment will be held.  We invite you to celebrate the wonderful life of Doris on Friday April 25, 2025 from 2-5 PM at Three Cellars Winery N72 W13400 Lund Lane Suite A in Menomonee Falls (corner of Appleton Avenue and Good Hope Road).  Drinks and lite fare will be served.  All are welcome to celebrate a life well lived, as Doris loved a good party.
