Dorothy E. Smith Born April 8, 1928, Born to Eternal Life December 14, 2020 at the age of 92. Preceded in death by her loving husband Harry K. Smith of 46 years. Mother of Christine (Steve) Stenz, Edward (Deborah) Taulman, and Robert Taulman. Loving Step-Mother of Judy (Bob Johnson), Janice (Paul) Mac Comber, and the late Gary Smith. Loving grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 5. She will be missed by many extended family and friends. Dorothy grew up in Granton, WI, after high school graduation she moved to Milwaukee, WI. She found a job as a department store clerk. While living in Milwaukee she met her first husband. Dorothy became a Navy wife of 20 years. She had the opportunity to live in Hawaii, San Diego, Florida, and Great Lakes. This adventure started her love of traveling. In May, 1973, Dorothy married Harry K. Smith. They were both very active in their Methodist Church. Dorothy taught Sunday School, and would say it was a great way to meet other families through her travels. Dorothy worked for the Veterans Administration. She was assigned to the fiscal department for 26 years. Her hobbies were reading, gardening, cooking, baking and camping. In 1978 a camping trip brought Dorothy and Harry to the Rock River Leisure Estates in Edgerton, WI. Dorothy and her family spent many weekends and holidays together over 23 years. In 2012, Dorothy and Harry moved back to the Germantown area; where they spent their remaining days with family and friends.
