Dorothy Thorn

(nee McGinley) Age 91, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born December 7, 1929 in Crandon, WI. She moved to Milwaukee in 1936, where she attended St. Leo Catholic School and Washington High School She married Francis "Fritz" Thorn on August 14, 1954 at St. Leo Catholic Church. They settled in Granville to raise their family. Fritz and Dorothy were founding and lifelong members of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 years Fritz, her children David, Mary (Mark) Dobratz, Tim (Barb), Jeff (Debby), Ken (Ann), 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John and sister-in-law Mary. Visitation Saturday, February 20, from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 8200 W. Denver Ave., followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00 pm. Private burial Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Bernadette Catholic Church would be appreciated.
