Edward J. Lesky USAA WWII
If I could have written my own obituary, this is how I believe it would have read. On August 10th, in the year of 2015, I decided it was time to go. I was born in 1920, so 95 years on this earth was a pretty good haul. It was time to see my wife Genevieve (nee Sommers), "man that woman could cook", my daughter Barbara Fuchsberger and so many family & friends that went before me. I served my country proudly in WWII and that shaped the rest of my life. Some of it good and some bad, but it did shape my life. Sadly I leave behind my son David, his wife Cindy (Kennedy) Lesky, my nephew Larry Jackovich & his wife Marcia, niece Jean & her family, grandchildren Frank Fuchsberger, wife Heidi, Amy (Fuchsberger) Scheu & Fred, great grandchildren Lindsey & Logan Fuchsberger, Frank Fuchsberger Sr. & Carrie, along with many other family and friends. I grew up in Bessmer, Michigan. I came to Milwaukee after WWII. I was a meat and potatoes kind of man. I said what I meant and I meant what I said. I loved my family and working in my yard. Life was good. There will be a visitation at the Schramka Funeral Home, 7841 W. Appleton Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53218, on Thursday August 13, 2015 from 10:30-11:30 AM. After a service at 11:30 AM we will take a ride over to the Holy Cross Cemetery, 7301 W Nash St. Milwaukee, WI for a military send-off. Flowers are not necessary. If you choose, please donations to the VA Volunteer Program floor 9C. I would like to thank all the fine people at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Hospital. The care I received was much appreciated. There is one more thing…David, your detail is over. You did a fine job! Love Dad.
