Edward Schmidt

Born to Eternal Life on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the age of 89. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary Ruth (nee Pollard). Loving father of Karen (Bob) Dolphin, Kathy (Jim) Sanders, Colleen Schmidt, Susan (John) Hyman, Mary(Tom)Stawicki and Don Schmidt. Cherished grandfather of Michael(Kristin), Sam, Jake, Jack, Emily, Abby, Bill, Anna, Greta, Eddie and Charlie; great grandfather of Elle and Robin. Further survived by sisters Fran Chambers and Dorothy Tuttle, brother Richard (Sandy) Schmidt, and sister-in-law Jan (Shorty) Schmidt. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and many, many treasured friends. Preceded in death by brothers Leo, Johnny and George; sisters Margaret, Theresa, Helen and Angie; and other dear in-laws. Ed was a kind and gentle man who devoted his life to the happiness and welfare of his family, friends and community. Memorial Mass at St. Anthony's Congregation (N74 W13604 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls), on Saturday, May 12th, at 11 AM. Visitation at the church from 9 AM until time of Mass. Private interment. Our sincere thanks to the V.A. hospital for the exceptional care provided by the heart failure clinic and the hospice care unit. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be distributed by the family to St. Anthony¹s Meal Program and V.A. Hospice unit.
