In Loving Memory of Ervin Mirr
Ervin "Red'' Mirr passed peacefully on July 8, 2024 at the age of 93.
Born on November 1, 1930 in Milwaukee to the late William and Ida Mirr. He was the oldest of three children.
He married the love of his life, Jean, in 1951. They had three children, Dennis, Randall, and Jeanne. He built their home in Brookfield where they resided until his stroke in 2014. At that point they transitioned into assisted living. Even paralyzed he continued smiling and being happy.
He was a hard worker, starting at the age of 5, delivering groceries. Often working two jobs. He attended Boy's Tech where he graduated as a master plumber. He worked at the City of Brookfield as a plumbing inspector for 38 years. After Brookfield, he was the plumbing inspector for the Town of Pewaukee for several years. He was a member of A.S.S.E (American Society of Sanitary Engineering) where he served as secretary for several years and past national president.
Ervin is survived by his son Dennis (Janet) Mirr, and Jeanne (Neal) Jameson. Grandchildren, Craig, Deanna, Christine, Benjamin, Matthew, Jonathan, David, Hannah and Sam. Great grandchildren, Elijah, Jeremiah, Micah, Josiah, Sophia, Elliot and Olivia (Oli, as Erv would say). He was preceeded in death by his wife Eugenia and son, Randall.
The funeral service will be held on July 11th at Schramka Funeral Home. Visitation from 11:00-12:00. Funeral will be at noon.
