Esther Reichert

July 3, 1927 — August 29, 2018

Esther I. Reichert (nee Adams) of Hartland, WI was peacefully born to eternal life on August 29, 2018 after living a fulfilling and passionate life. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 3, 1927 to Peter and Amelia Adams (nee Schadt). She married Robert Reichert and had two children, Linda and Bobby. Esther worked at E.R. Wagner for over 30 years and met many lifelong friends while there. She was a devout member of Grace Lutheran Church and volunteered in the church office for many years after her retirement. She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda; her devoted son-in-law, John; her cherished granddaughters, Lauren (Jacob) and Katie (Jake); and her adored great-grandson, Owen. Esther will be remembered as a caring and vibrant wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who loved gardening, reading, going on trips with the Senior Center, baking with her grandchildren and daughter, yelling at the Brewers, shopping (only to later return things she didn't like), and valued her family above all else. She especially enjoyed spending time and eating lunch with her sister, Dorothy Bohman, every Monday and Wednesday. Esther was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert, and her beloved son, Bobby, along with her parents and many of her siblings. She will also be greeted in eternal life with barking and jumping by her "stinkpots", Brady and Gracie. The family would like to thank The Kathy Hospice and Pastor Howard of Grace Lutheran Church for caring for and comforting Esther in her final days. Additionally, they would like to thank Dr. Andrew Knoernschild for his compassionate and understanding care of Esther for over 10 years. A funeral service for Esther will be held on Saturday, September 1 at 12 PM at Schramka Funeral Home, located at W164 N9034 Water St. Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Visitation from 10:30 until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery, following a private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Kathy Hospice of West Bend are appreciated.
