Eugene was born September 7, 1954, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, son of Edwin and Agnes (Schmitz) Nett. He is survived by his siblings, Mary Lou Gilgenbach, Helen (Bill) Paquin, Grace Schroeder, Darlene (Steve) Eisenhut, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sisters, Lois and Gladys and his sister Laurel Nett; two brothers-in-law, Glenn Schroeder and Jim Gilgenbach and nephew Dan Gilgenbach. A private graveside burial will take place Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee. A Celebration of his Life will be held in August. As a child he was always making everyone laugh. He had an edgy sense of humor which we all appreciated. While going through his cancer treatments he continually made the doctors and nurses laugh, instead of complaining about his pain. One of his doctors said he was his favorite patient. He was such an inspiration of strength for those around him. Eugene was active in Dart Leagues and Pool Leagues for many years. He loved to travel the US with his friends. Thanks to his love of music, he enjoyed attending many music concerts. He was an avid sports fan, ever faithful to his favorite teams: Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. For many years Eugene was a commercial cleaner for his favorite neighborhood Tavern, Wolski's in Milwaukee. Eugene was spiritually connected to the earth. He was an extreme recycler, nature lover and protector. He had a landscaping business and loved creating beautiful flower gardens for clients and neighbors. In his apartment he had over 100 plants that brought him much pleasure. He had several different collections, his favorite was his awesome rock/gem collection. It was nice to see how many people Eugene called his "Best Friend". When you get to know them, you totally understand. He was blessed to have so many great friends in his life. He will be remembered as a "FRIEND TO ALL AND ENEMY TO NONE".
