Fred Driesen

Born to Life February 2, 1916-Born to Eternal Life August 26, 2015, age 99 years. Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Schindhelm), they were married on March 17, 1945. Dear father of Gary (Marilyn) Driesen of Augusta, GA, Kay (Charles) Petrie, Neil (Laurie) Driesen, Kevin (Maria Antonieta) Driesen of Tuscon, AZ and Steven (Patricia Krause) Driesen of San Francisco, CA. Loving grandfather of Jennifer, James and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Driesen, Kimberly (Weston) Duenkel and Keri Petrie, Daniel (Kari) Driesen, and Frederick, Edward Ramon and Anna Maria Driesen. Loving great-grandfather of Rylan, Will, Owen, Liam and Rayna. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Fred was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and he worked for the Postal Service for over 30 years. Fred was a member of the National WWII Glider Pilots Association and the American Legion. He was the Former President of the United Federation of Postal Clerks. Local 3 and was the Editor of Highlights Postal News. Fred was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Visitation Sunday, August 30, 1:30-3:30 pm at the Funeral Home with a Funeral Service at 3:30 pm. Graveside Service Monday, August 31, 1 pm at Graceland Cemetery, 6401 N. 43rd St., Milwaukee (Please meet inside cemetery entrance). Memorials in Fred's name to Ascension Lutheran Church, 1236 S. Layton Blvd., Milwaukee, 53215 would be appreciated.
