Gene W. Leslie of Menomonee Falls and Germantown, Wisconsin passed away early in the morning on Monday, August 10th at the age of 93.
Gene was born to parents Walter and Maude Leslie on September 25th, 1932 in Warren, Minnesota where he spent his childhood years on the family farm. He met the love of his life, Janet Berg at Warren High School. The couple married in 1953 and moved to Germany where Gene was stationed with the U.S. Army. They settled in Milwaukee, WI where Gene worked at American Motors followed by his role at Sevormation.
After Janet passed in 1994, Gene met Maggie Bacon and spent the next 25 years enjoying life together in Germantown, WI. One of his greatest joys in life was baseball. Gene was a pitcher for the Army in the Armed Forces World Series while serving in Germany. He also was a huge fan of Brewers baseball, the GB Packers and all golf tournaments. He also loved to play golf and go bowling.
He is survived by his children: Rick Leslie of Kenosha, WI, Scott Leslie of Eagle, CO, and niece Linda (Allen) Arnold of Germantown, WI, his grandchildren: Jordyn (Henry) Leslie-Smirl of Ogden, UT, Chase Leslie of Eagle, CO, Josh Leslie of Kenosha, WI, and Jenna Leslie of Kenosha, WI. He is further survived by many relatives and many friends. Private services were held at Schramka FH with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery next to his parents and his beloved Janet.
