It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Gerald J. Wiersma on June 17th, 2022 at the age of 76. He was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on August 22, 1945. He grew up in Cambria, WI where he loved to help and work on his grandparents' farm as a young man. He met the love of his life Donna and they married on December 31st, 1966. They have been married for 56 years (they loved each other so much they had to do it twice).
Gerald was a sergeant for the United States Airforce 38th Aerospace Rescue/Recovery Squad, serving in the Vietnam War from 1967-1969. After the war he had a career at the City of Milwaukee for 33 years. Jerry was an avid hunter and loved fishing. There was absolutely nothing he could not fix, cause he was Mr. Fix-it! The great handyman. His smile was infectious and was loved by so many family and friends. He was a very patient man with a kind soul, but don't mess with his daughters!
Jerry is survived by his loving wife Donna (Munro) Wiersma, their daughters Lisa (Mike) Hahn, Leslie (Kenny) Jaeger and his three loving grandsons Tyler Hahn, Trevor Hahn, and Devan Jaeger. Proceeded in death by his parents John and Maysel Wiersma.
Loved and adored by his brother-in-law's, sister-in-law's, nieces, nephews, many more wonderful family and friends.
