Geraldine Sylvia Johnson

Geraldine (Geri) S. Johnson 93, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Geri touched countless lives with her kindness and warm spirit. Despite facing significant health challenges over the years, she remained a beacon of strength and faith, always prioritizing the comfort and happiness of others above her own. She became affectionately known as Gigi by the grandchildren, a nickname stuck. Her home was always open to friends and family, filled with laughter and never-ending hospitality (food). If you came for a visit, you never left hungry and she always had candy and cookies on hand for the kids and treats for the dogs. She always made quick friends wherever she resided. She loved sending cards for everyone’s birthdays and rarely missed a morning phone call to sing happy birthday. Her favorite hobby was talking on the phone, especially to her niece Joanie and lifelong friend Eileen.

Geri is survived by her children Lori (Greg) Seeke and Tom (Tracey) Johnson; grandchildren Ryan (Jenna) Johnson, Jackie (Andrew) Sheffield, Gina (Joe) Leonard, Zak (Taylor) Fredrick, Claire (Steven) Vreeland, and Courtney Seeke; nine great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Glenn of 61 years, her daughter-in-law Wendy (Tom), granddaughter Kaite Seeke, her five siblings and their spouse, Laura (John) Schriner, Florence (Paul) Ulrich, Nick (Geri) Smarella, Raymond (June) Smarella, Violet (Norman) Bekkedal, and other close relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on October 1st, 2026, at Schramka Funeral Home, Menomonee Falls, WI. Visitation at 10:00, service at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Washington County Animal Shelter or your favorite charity.
