Harold Mcelwain

Passed away peacefully May 1, 2021, age 96. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen. Loving father of the late Michael, the late Mark (Judy), the late Mary, Greg (Ann), and the late Marsha. Proud Grandfather of Joshua (Arianna) and Megan. Dear Great Grandfather of Mia and Olivia. Loving brother of Ruth (Dick) Slike. Over the last five years he was surrounded by a very dedicated group of friends and family that never made him feel alone. Their support and friendship meant the world to him. These angels are Judy McElwain, Margie Dreweck-Pike, Nancy Vander Molen and Doug Hein. He also had a special relationship with his nieces Cindy Perdomo and Ann Lyman along with his nephew John Lyman. He is further survived by other relatives and many dear friends and staff at Alexian Village of Milwaukee. Harold dedicated his life to the selfless care of his two children afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis and his wife who suffered from Alzheimer's. Through it all he maintained a positive attitude and amazing sense of humor that made everyone laugh. A memorial service will be held at a later date with details available on the Schramka website.
