Henrietta Mortensen

May 24, 1922 — March 9, 2017

Henrietta Mae Mortensen Born in Camp Douglas, WI, Henrietta was farm raised and learned the meaning of hard work. She earned a teaching certificate, met her husband Arnold Mortensen, and then set up home in Milwaukee, WI. Henrietta and Arnold had four children spanning 20 years, raising them in Milwaukee and Moline, IL. Finally, Arnold and Henrietta retired - returning to the country near Sullivan, WI. Henrietta's last years were spent in the wonderful care of Kirkland Crossings. Henrietta loved to help and modeled a servant attitude for her children. She was quite artistic and painted nearly her whole life. In her earlier years, she played the guitar, sang, did ceramics and even yodeled! Henrietta was a Christ follower and the church family was very important to her. Most of all, Henrietta loved to be around her great and grandchildren and she loved to laugh and bring laughter to others. We miss you Henrietta but are so glad you are now home in Heaven with your husband Arnold, your son Dennis and your brothers and sisters in Christ. Born May 24th, 1922 of Harry & Cora Belcher. Gone home to our Lord March 9th, 2017.
