Henry Steffen

On a day when the sky was clear, the air was crisp and the hawks were soaring, the Eagle King took Chief Thundercloud to the Great Spirit. Machinist Mate 3rd Class Henry (Hank) Steffen left this world. Born: 9/01/26 DOD: 9/28/16 Parents: Late Henry Fred Steffen & Clara (Wurster) Steffen Married: 5/14/49 to the late Mildred (Gizmo) Wolff Government service: Proudly served in the US Navy, earning the American Area ribbon and WW 2 Victory Ribbon Community Service: Charter member of Burlington Y-Indian Guides, Pony League baseball coach Preceded in death by: Ron Steffen (brother), Marion Heiser (sister), his beloved Gizmo, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Survived by: Sons: Don (Nancy), Bruce, Jack, Grandsons: Jason, Nate (Heather), Derek, great Grandsons: Mason & Nolan Machinist Mate 3rd Class Henry (Hank) Steffen left this world the same way he lived it. On his own terms. He is now in the arms of his beloved Gizmo. Fair winds and following seas. Godspeed Henry (we were a select few who could call him that)!
