Herbert Pietz

Herbert Carl Pietz was born June 18, 1931 on a farm to parents Carl Anton and Sophia Bertsch Pietz near Parkston, SD. He Entered Heaven December 9, 2015 in Milwaukee, WI. He was the oldest child of 13. He attended grade school and high school for the deaf in Sioux Falls, SD. After high school he attended a trade school in Springfield, SD. After working various jobs, he took a job at the West Bend Factory in West Bend, WI, where he worked for over 25 years. In retirement, he did some lawn mowing. In 2000, Herbert was united in marriage to Pamela at the Falls Baptist Church in Menomonee Falls, WI. They later moved to Milwaukee, WI. Herbert became a resident of The Villa, a nursing home in Milwaukee on August 5, 2015. He was admitted to St. Joseph Hospital on Dec. 8, 2015 where he died on Dec. 9, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Pamela of Milwaukee, WI; four brothers Elmer (Georgia) Pietz of Edgerton, MN, Villo (Marlys) Pietz of Sioux Falls, SD, Verlyn Pietz of Mesa, AZ and Donald (Lynette) Pietz of Parkston, SD; six sisters Leona (LeRoy) Baltzer of Parkston, SD, Violet (Verlin) Fuerst of Tripp, SD, LaVerna (Darrell) Magstadt of Tripp, SD, Vernetta (Melvin) Smith of Fort Mohave, AZ, Mary (Keith) Thrift of Bridgewater, SD, and Carol Stoakes of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law Marlys Pietz, of Sibling IA; an aunt, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Delores, sister Viola Zobel, brother Robert Pietz, sister-in-law Camille Pietz and a brother-in-law Ervin Zobel. Memorial Service Tuesday, December 22, 11:00 am at Falls Baptist Church, N69 W12703 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls, WI.
