James A. Ballo

Of Franklin, WI passed away October 28, 2026, age 99 years. Preceded in death by his wives Dorothy and Marian. Loving father of Beth Ballo, Barbara Ballo, Richard Ballo, Nancy Hoffman and Thomas Ballo. Proud and loving grandfather of Jennifer, Mark, Christopher, Tom, Katie, Brian, Jessie, Lauren, Lindsey and Michael. Loving great-grandfather of Eric, Madison, Ethan, Alex and Sophia, Cole, Ben and Winnie. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Mr. Ballo was born in Port Washington, WI on September 3, 1927 and graduated from Port Washington High School in 1945. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Coast Guard. He graduated from Marquette University in 1951 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He spent his working years in WI and was the founder and president of Continental Engineers and Balcon Industries which specialized in the design and manufacture of systems and machinery for the brewing, soft drink and food industries.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, November 12th at 12 PM at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 1260 Church St., Elm Grove.
