James was a man who truly knew how to enjoy life. With a Bacardi and coke in hand, he could often be found entertaining his friends and family, bringing smiles to everyone around him, with his elaborate stories to tell. A fervent enthusiast of darts and bowling, James won several trophies and championships, a testament to his skill and competitive spirit.
An accomplished carpenter by trade, James's life revolved around woodworking. His meticulous attention to detail and industrious nature were evident in the projects he was proud to undertake, especially those with his son-in-law Scott, who he jokingly liked to refer to as "different", which were always finished to perfection, albeit with some fun delays. He would refer to Chip as a “farmer, always outstanding in his field”. Jim's penchant for planning and his stubborn determination were the hallmark traits of a true Pisces.
Known for his playful spirit and love of making people smile, James embraced every holiday with flair, notably remembered for wearing his unique, eye-catching patterned pants—a favorite being the unforgettable rainbow bell bottoms one year that delighted all who saw them.
James leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and indelible memories that will be treasured by his family and friends forever.
James's family invites all those who knew him to join in celebrating his life, remembering the joy and warmth he brought into the world, to be held on July 23, 2026, from 10am – 2pm at the Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes.
