Jim's love for airplanes as a child led him to read everything he could about airplanes. He worked extra hard to pay for his pilot's license. He enjoyed flying to and from Arkansas visiting his family. His proudest day was giving his mother a ride to and from Milwaukee. He loved the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and at one point started building his own composite aircraft but had to sell it due to storage issues. Jim had many careers. He entered the Navy during the Vietnam War and served on a ship in the Atlantic Ocean. After the service he was a paramedic, a truck driver of all descriptions, and a legal administrator. His last trip was at the Milwaukee VA nursing home. He lived most of his life in Milwaukee, WI but longed for the hills of Arkansas. He is now calmly soaring over all of us.
I lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to The Fisher House:
