Janet Weimar

Janet D. Weimar (nee Shultz) – of Hartland (and formerly of Wauwatosa) – was born to Eternal Life on June 17, 2021 at the age of 87. Loving wife of the late Robert. Beloved mother of Steven, David (Dawn), and Kathleen (Bill) Arnold. Dear grandmother of Jessica, Laurel, and Mariah Weimar, and Kieran and Katherine Arnold. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. A native of Monroe, WI, Janet was born on July 1, 1933, received her undergraduate degree from UW-Madison and later attended nursing school and became an RN, skillfully caring for patients for many years until her retirement from the former Milwaukee County Medical Complex (now Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin). Janet was a longtime Wauwatosa resident and was very active as a volunteer, group outing and trip planner, and officer at the Wauwatosa Senior Center in Hart Park. Reading (voraciously), cooking, and genealogy were things she loved doing, as well as spending ample time with her children and grandchildren, who she adored, loved unconditionally, and cared deeply about. Her beautiful smile, her dapper yet subdued fashion tastes (which earned her the title 'Glamma'), and her occasional feisty moments will never be forgotten by those she loved. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 26, from 10 AM - 12 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral Service to follow at 12 PM. Interment pending at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee.
