Jeanne Kallies

BROOKFIELD-(Nee Desmond) Born in La Crosse WI, August 28, 1926 and died at home surrounded by her family and loved ones on August 12, 2021 at the age of 94. She was a descendant of Gottleib and Johanna Heileman of the G. Heileman Brewing Co. La Crosse WI. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Esther Desmond, her brother John, and sisters Marge and Mary. Also preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond, into who's loving arms she will be welcomed. Jeanne was a loving and devoted mother to five children, Jack (Ellen), Kathie, Sue, Carol (Mark) and Jim (Chris), ten grandchildren, Kara, Jack, Tom (Gen), Lindsay (Bob), Kelsey, Michael (Dani), Katie (Chris), Markie (Chris), Daniel (fiance' Michelle) and Kyle and great grandmother to Ellison, Karlie, Kamdyn and their sisters Kailey and Kendall and soon to be two baby boys. Jeanne attended Mount Mary College and Marquette University from which she graduated. Jeanne loved to travel, with a trip to Africa being one of her favorites. She also loved her annual family reunion at Maletzke's Lake Alva resort in Northern Wi. Jeanne and Raymond wintered for many years at the Caper Beach Club in Fort Myers Beach Fl. where they made many friends and enjoyed many activities. Their favorite time however was being together with family no matter where. Jeanne was a woman of great faith who attended mass regularly. When unable to attend in person, she viewed services on TV which gave her great comfort. The family would like to thank her caregivers from Synergy Home Health Care, especially Lisa and Marilyn, who were devoted to Jeanne. Because of them, she was able to remain at home until the very end. We are grateful for their kindness and compassion.
