Jeffrey Croatt

July 23, 1950 — April 4, 2023

GERMANTOWN – Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 4, 2023. Jeff was born on July 23, 1950, to Robert and Doris (Steffens) Croatt in "beautiful" Belgium, WI. Jeff graduated from Cedar Grove High School in 1968. After high school he attended UW-Whitewater where he earned his degree in Secondary Education and met his wife Cathy on a blind date. Upon graduating from Whitewater in 1972, he worked his entire career at Germantown High School as a math teacher and a guidance counselor. He enjoyed coaching youth and high school sports, running the high school concession stand and working with the faculty and students throughout his time at Germantown High. Jeff retired from the Germantown School District after 39 years of service. Post retirement, Jeff worked part-time at Spectrum Investments as a Financial Education Advisor for 9 years. He cherished his time at Spectrum Investments and always considered going to the office or visiting clients as fun and not work. Jeff was a man of faith and always prioritized his family. Spending time with his grandchildren brought a newfound love and perspective to his life. He could often be heard telling people, "If I would have known that grandkids were so much fun, I would have had them first." He was a man that made every person who crossed his path feel welcome…whether it was his big smile, a hug squeezed too tight or mixing their favorite drink. Jeff always loved coffee on his deck, enjoyed stogies on the golf course, had his bags packed for the next trip and, of course, made the perfect Old Fashioned. Happiness Is!!! Jeff is deeply missed by his beloved and devoted wife of 50 years, Cathy (Aisbet), admiring children Drew (Dana), Ben (Kelly) and Megan (Tommy) Seidemann and adoring grandchildren Cali and Cannon Croatt; Max, Roxy and Leo Croatt; Stella, Henry and Joe Seidemann. Survived by siblings Judy (Guy) Theune, Sandy Pfeiffer and Tom (Kaye). Preceded in death by his parents Robert Croatt & Doris, infant brother Roger and brother-in-law Dave Pfeiffer. Further survived by other family and great friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 15th, 2023, at Fox Point Lutheran Church, 7510 N. Santa Monica Blvd, Fox Point, WI 53217. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon, at the church, with service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Germantown High School Booster Club in Jeff's name via his GoFundMe website https://gofund.me/1c0dcd04
