Jerome F. Gozdowiak passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 16, 2021 at the age of 78.
He was a saint to his beloved wife, Joan, of 52 years who survives him along with their children James (Jennifer), Jeanine (Jay) DeGroot, and Jared (Jacquelyn), and five grandchildren: Jessica, Jordan, Joshua, Jack, and Jay. His loving family includes brothers Dennis and Gregory and sisters Joan, Patricia, and Linda. Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Jerome was born on April 11, 1943 to Henry and Florence Gozdowiak in Milwaukee. He was mechanically gifted and retired from a lifelong career as a tool and die maker and designer. He also served as a medic in the U.S. Army. He was a car enthusiast and loved Westerns. He practiced kindness and patience. The perfect day was watching a Brewers game, fixing the tractor, cutting the lawn, and being with family.
A remembrance and celebration of Jerome's life will be held on Friday, May 21 at St. Martin of Tours, 7963 S. 116th Street in Franklin. Visitation from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM. Mass at 12:00 PM with burial to follow.
