Joan Britten

July 27, 1932 — March 23, 2015

Britten, Joan (nee Przymus) passed away peacefully at home of heart failure on March 23, at age 82. Preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and survived by her sister Jean Kass; son, Scott (Eileen); daughters, Bobbi, Carrie (Mike) Litle, Karla (Tony) Belliveau; and grandchildren, Anthony and Jordan Belliveau, Matthew Britten, and Rick and Britten Litle. Raised in Wausau, WI, she lived in Thiensville for 37 years. She spent her life dedicated to helping others through her many volunteer activities, including 25 years as a Cope volunteer and as the St. Cecilia grade school religious education coordinator. In addition, she served as a Thiensville Village Trustee and Planning Commission member. Her family and friends will most remember her generosity, compassion, loyalty and infectious laugh. The Britten family would like to express our gratitude to Dr. David Fagan and the team effort of Horizon Hospice for their caring and professionalism. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cope Services, Inc., 885 Badger Circle, Grafton, WI 53024, would be appreciated. Visitation will held on Saturday, March 28th at 10:30 at Lumen Christi's (138 W Buntrock Ave, Thiensville), followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:30.
