Joan Demos

(nee Szabrowicz) Joan Demos passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on October 20, 2018 at age 84. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Nick. Joan was survived by her children Ricca (Stephen) Voboril, Mark Demos, Ellen Sheahan Demos and Matthew (Molly) Demos, as well as her grandchildren Holly (Rob) Beauvais, Lindsay Voboril, the late Brennan Voboril, Alyssa Voboril, Alexandra Voboril, Luke (Melissa) Demos and Sam Voboril. Joan was born, raised and spent her entire life in Cudahy. She co-owned Demos Photography and Joan of Art Framing on Packard Avenue with her husband Nick until the business was sold. Joan took great pleasure in gardening, attending mass and most of all -- enjoying time with her friends, children and grandchildren. Her kind and loving spirit, along with her wicked sense of humor, will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Vitas Hospice for helping the family gracefully nurse Joan into new life. Memorial visitation Friday, October 26, at Nativity of Lord Catholic Church, 3672 E. Plankinton Ave., Cudahy, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM and luncheon to follow.
