Joan Devera

Joan Esther Devera (nee Greuel) Was born May 23, 1950 and passed away July 10, 2023 at the age of 73. Beloved wife of Emanuel "Manny" Devera. Loving mother of Michael and Marcy. Dear sister of Duane (Terri) Greuel, Darlene (Milt) Hillmann, and Judy (Tom) Tarantino. Fond aunt of Larry (Beth) Hillmann. Preceded in death by her parents Harold and Marcella Greuel and brother Don (Ann) Greuel. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Joan graduated Valedictorian from Hamilton High School. She graduated from Lady Cliff College, NY in 1978, then earned her Masters in Public Administration from Butler University. She had a distinguished career in the Social Security Administration and retired after 40 years. In her free time, she enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, tennis, and decorating. Joan especially loved her pet Ulee. Joan and Manny loved to go on rock n roll cruises. As an Army Officer's wife, she was able to travel throughout Europe and Asia. After Joan retired, she and Manny returned to Menomonee Falls where she loved RVing. She will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held Friday, July 14 from 2-3 PM at St. Mary Church, N89W16297 Cleveland Ave, Menomonee Falls. Mass to follow at 3 PM. Private interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park at a later date.
