Joan Fossum

Of Brookfield, WI (nee Laughlin) passed away on June 17, 2022 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of late Glenn G. Fossum; loving mother of Karen (David) Jaeckels, Michael (Sana) Fossum and Colleen (Scott) Valkoun; and devoted grandmother to Caroline Fossum, Margaret Kurth and Mia Kurth. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives, friends and neighbors. Joan met her husband, Glenn at Square D and enjoyed 63 years of marriage. They were long-time members of St. Bernadette. Joan worked for over 10 years at Kohl's and lived in the Brookfield Highlands. She loved Bingo, trips, puzzles, water aerobics, social events and attending her grandchildren's school, sports and dance functions. Joan especially enjoyed the company of family, friends and neighbors. She will be remembered for her kindness, sweetness, love of life and sense of fun. Visitation Saturday, July 9, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Christ King Catholic Church, 2604 N. Swan Blvd., Wauwatosa, WI 53226, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
