Joan Miller

Joan L. Miller (nee Baughman), 95, passed away quietly on June 4, 2024. Preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin U. Miller. Survived and deeply missed by many especially her children,  Mike Miller (Shari Heimert) and Lisa Miller. Raised in Muskego, Joan graduated from Waukesha High School ('46), married, and raised a family in Hales Corners where she and Ben lived for over 55 years. During that time, Joan was a devoted mom but found time to volunteer at Boerner Botanical Gardens which she enjoyed. The family is grateful for the kindness and grace shown to her by many friends and caretakers especially during her last year. A special thank you to Marilyn & Betty (cherished friends); Patty (Rent-A-Daughter); Laura Duncan MD (and team); and Sara, Julie, Jenny and the entire team at Heritage Deer Creek. Your generous spirit, expertise and patience was exemplary and deeply appreciated. Thanks for all the cookies, mom! Memorial donations to Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens appreciated. A private ceremony will be held later in June.
