John Beard

Feb 6, 2016, age 67. A loving husband to wife Karen for 38 years. A dedicated father to Jennifer Phillips and Jacqueline Beard. Grandfather to Jordon Phillips. Loving son of Dorothy Barton. A brother to Carol, Richard, David, Randy, Mark and Scott. Further survived by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Roger and Dennis along with his father Louis. Vietnam Veteran Sgt John A. Beard, 1st Recon Battalian, 1st Marine Division, Charlie Co., 1967-1970. A former Commander of American Legion POST 406. Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 18 from 12pm-3pm at The RIDGE Community Church, 4500 S. 108th St. Greenfield, WI. Laid to rest Feb. 19 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery, Union Grove.
