John A. Graeber
John A. Graeber, of Menomonee Falls, WI, moved on from us on July 12th, 2021 to be with loved ones who had passed previously; his wife, Patricia A. Graeber, his daughter, Cynthia M. Graeber, his parents, George F. and Katherine A.M. Graeber and others who loved and cared for John during his lifetime. John was 90 years of age at the time of his passing and had lived a long and active life up to his very last days.
John cherished the friendships he had with many people and was a loving and caring family man who is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Mater (husband Dan), and his son, John (wife Nancy), and their families. He is the proud grandfather and great grandfather to 10 children.
John was an avid golfer who focused on the enjoyment of the game, the beauty of the courses he played and the company he kept while playing rather than his scores. He always enjoyed hearing or telling a good joke, a funny story or delivering a witty remark, especially while sharing a drink among friends. His career as an attorney earned him the reputation of being one of the most honest attorneys out there and he was well respected by many of his peers.
John spent the last 15 years sharing his life and caring for and loving, as well as being cared for and loved by, his friend and confidant who he referred to as "My Nancy". John's "Nancy" was with him by his side during his last days. John's family will be forever grateful that he had someone like her become part of his life following the loss of his wife, Pat, in 2003. The companionship and friendship Nancy shared with John made this chapter of his life much happier and fuller than it would have been without someone like her.
A spiritual recognition and celebration of John Graeber's life will be held on Saturday, August 14th, 2021 at 11:00am at Wisconsin Memorial Park, 13235 W. Capitol Dr. Brookfield, WI 53005 in the Chapel of the Flowers.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, the family requests that a donation be considered to the Cynthia M. Graeber Memorial Scholarship fund.
