John Kapal

John Richard Kapal, age 59, Slinger, died November 18, 2024 at AccessCare Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa peacefully and surrounded by family. He was born February 06, 1965 in Milwaukee, the youngest of six children to Richard and Barbara (Karbowski) Kapal. John was a carpenter and concrete mason and he actively played a role in the development of many establishments in Washington County and other surrounding areas. Further in his career he became a superintendent responsible for overseeing many commercial projects. John's father served with the US Navy on the USS Ingersoll during the Korean War, and because of this, John devoted much of his time to volunteering for Veterans. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling, and snowmobiling. He was a man of faith and he always strived to make others laugh. John is survived by his children, Jared (Julia Comerford) Kapal, of Jackson; and Kasha Kapal, of Springfield, Missouri; siblings, Guy (Susan) Kapal, of Manitowish Waters; Karen Kapal, of Winneconne; Gary (Mary) Kapal, of Slinger; Ken Kapal, of Slinger; and Don Kapal, of Townsend. John is also survived by many loved aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, John and Adelaine (Kiewig) Kapalczynski; and Alex and Viola (Haumschild) Karbowski; along with several loving aunts, uncles, and other family members. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Rhodes-Charpata Funeral Home in Crivitz on December 7, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and the service will start at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to help support the children in paying for funeral costs is appreciated.
