John Schauss

John David Schauss "Jack", passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2021. John was born December 18, 1942 in Wausau, WI to John and Lydia Schauss. He attended Wausau East High School. He later joined the Army in 1961 and was stationed at Sandia Base New Mexico and later stationed in Fischbach, Germany. Upon completing military service in Europe, John returned home to Wausau and enrolled at the UW Center in 1963. At the UW in Wausau, he met his future wife to be Jacquelyn "Jackie" Rae Scheel of Abbotsford, WI. Jack and Jackie married on September 8, 1967 in Abbotsford, WI. Later they moved to Madison, WI where John attended UW Madison School of Business and received his BBA in Accounting in 1969 and later received a JD in Tax Law and was admitted to the Wisconsin State Bar in 1972. John was known for his love of books, various histories and his love of being outdoors. John is preceded in death by his parents John and Lydia Schauss. He leaves behind his wife Jackie Schauss; daughter Tammy (Mike); son Eric (Kristi); and two grandchildren. Private inurnment will be held.
