John Swietlik

Born to Life June 24, 1930. Born to Eternal Life August 18, 2023 at the age of 93. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Joanne (nee Heney) his parents Francis X and Marie (nee Czerwinski); sister Dorothy and brothers Joseph and Walter.  Remembered by his loving children Barbara, Mary (David) Moody, John, Helen (Peter) Henningsen and Patricia (Todd) Nennig; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; brother Francis Jr. and sister Marie. John attended Marquette University High School and later went on to Marquette University and Law School.  He honorably served in the U.S Navy during the Korean War.  John was an accomplished trial attorney and practiced with the firm of Kasdorf, Lewis & Swietlik for many years.  John was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching the Packers, Brewers, and the MU Golden Eagles. He also enjoyed playing golf with his beloved wife, Joanne and spending time with his family. Visitation will be Tuesday September 5, 2023 at Lumen Christi Church in Mequon from 10:00 until time of Mass at noon. Graveside services in Green Bay at a later date. Memorials may be made to Lumen Christi Catholic Church.
