Joseph G. Bubacy, a man of loving spirit and adventurous heart, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on October 28, 1930, Joseph's life was a tapestry of dedication, joy, and an unwavering commitment to his family and country.
Joseph's early years were marked by his service to the nation. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953, demonstrating a level of patriotism and courage that would define much of his life's ethos.
Upon returning from Korea, Joseph found and cherished love with his late wife, whose memory he held close to his heart following her passing. Together, they built a family legacy that now continues through their son, Dave Bubacy and his wife Patti; their grandchildren, Fallon Crass and her husband William, and Nathaniel Bubacy with Ashley Curran; and their great-grandchildren, Georgia and Gunnar. Joseph's role as a patriarch was filled with warmth and guidance, and his influence will live on through the generations.
Joseph's zest for life extended beyond his family. His passion for sports was evident to all who knew him. Whether he was on the golf course, the tennis court, or the curling rink, Joseph played with enthusiasm and a competitive spirit that was both inspiring and endearing. His love for playing cards was matched only by his love for travel, as he sought adventure and new experiences in every corner of the globe.
