Joseph Osiris Williams

Our beloved JoJo, age 3, passed away surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of love, light, and unimaginable strength. Though his time with us was far too short, JoJo’s smile and spirit touched every heart that had the joy of knowing him.

JoJo was a fighter from the very beginning — a true heart warrior. He faced more challenges in his three years than most face in a lifetime, yet he met every day with courage, determination, and unshakable joy. He was fiercely determined to stay with those he loved for as long as he could — and he did so with laughter, hugs, and the biggest, brightest grin.

Always happy and full of life, JoJo loved playing with his sister and cousins, filling every moment with giggles, games, and love. He cherished snuggles, gave the best hugs, and had an uncanny sense of when someone needed comfort. Even at such a young age, JoJo’s caring heart shone brightly — he always wanted to make others feel better, to share love, to give joy.

JoJo’s feisty personality added to his endearing charm, and that sass stayed with him until the end — a spark that even earned him the nickname “Firecracker” from his care team at Children’s Hospital. Yet it was his gentle heart that always led the way. His presence was a gift, and though our hearts ache with his loss, we find comfort in knowing that JoJo continues to touch lives through the gift of sight — his corneas were donated to help others see the world’s beauty he loved so much.

JoJo will forever be remembered as a beacon of love, courage, and joy — a little boy whose light will never fade and whose smile will never be forgotten.

He is deeply loved and missed by his parents, Sarah McDowell and Marcel Williams; sister, Azalea; grandparents, Lori (the late Randy) McDowell, Sharon McCallum, and Michael Williams; aunts and uncles, Crystal Lehmann, Ashley McDowell, Michael Williams Jr., Chloe Williams, and Chelsey Williams; and cousins, Gabriel, Lyric, Kam, Lydia, and Ariana. He is further survived by other relatives, friends, and everyone whose life he illuminated during his short but incredible journey.

Forever our light. Forever our JoJo.
