Joseph R. Woyach
Born to Eternal Life June 10, 2016, age 99 years. Predeceased by his loving wife Alma M. Woyach. Dear father of Joseph R. (Linda) Woyach and the late Judith (the late Richard) Sowinski. Loving grandfather of Mark (Jodi) Sowinski, Keith Woyach, Jeffrey (Vicki) Woyach, Timothy McEvoy, Alison McEvoy, and Laurie Sowinski. Loving great-grandfather to Breanna Woyach, Mackenzie McEvoy, Kaleigh Woyach, Serena Woyach, Alexis Woyach, Darrin Sowinski, and Cheyenne Sowinski. Beloved brother of Martha Samolyk. Also predeceased by brothers Henry, Walter, Chester, and Stanley Woyach, and sisters Helen Mikol and Mary Wambach. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Joseph worked at AO Smith during World War II, was a salesman at Mrs. Drenk's Potato Chips then worked at Jay's Potato Chips which is now Frito Lay. Joseph was also an avid golfer with Hansen Senior Golf League and also an avid bowler. Joseph helped coach sports at Holy Redeemer. Played softball in the Northwest Holy Name League. He loved his Packers, Brewers, and Bucks. He also ushered all of his life, first at Holy Redeemer then at Mother of Good Counsel Church.
We want to thank the Milwaukee Catholic Home, the staff on 3 East and everyone else who made his life a lot more homey and who took extra good care of him. We also want to thank Vitas Hospice Care for taking care of Joseph during his final days with us.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 17 at 1 PM at Mother of Good Counsel Church, 6924 W. Lisbon Ave, Milwaukee. Visitation from 11 AM until the time of service. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
