Joyce Wawrzyn

Wawrzyn, Joyce A. Passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on February 28,2017. Loving mother of Jane (Don), Elizabeth (Robert) and Margaret (Daniel). Proud grandmother of Sam, Ben, Jack, Daniel, Grace and Luke. Loving sister of Douglas (Sally), and Patricia (Ronald). Further survived by other relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Norbert, Son Larry and parents Agnes and Joseph Mackett. Joyce was a 1952 graduate of St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School. She worked in nursing homes as well as a State of Wisconsin nursing home inspector. She was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital. Joyce loved to shop, especially in her beloved Door County. She loved going to aerobics class, taking walks and praying the rosary. Joyce loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. She was a long-time member of St. Robert Catholic Church in Shorewood and had strong faith. We will miss her. Memorial services will be held privately among family.
