Judith "Judy" LeeAnn Olsen

Aug 24, 1932 — Sep 29, 2026

South Milwaukee

Judith (Judy) LeeAnn Olsen, 94, passed away on September 29, 2026.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Marie (née Beisenstein) and John Kuske, Judy was the oldest of four children. She graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 1950 and pursued modeling after high school, reflecting an early interest in fashion, beauty, and style.

In 1966, Judy began a 38-year career in cosmetics and fragrances at Gimbel's Department Store in Milwaukee's Southgate Shopping Center. She later managed Pill & Puff, a health and beauty aids store at Southgate, before returning to cosmetics and perfumes at The Boston Store. She continued at its Southridge location in Greendale until retiring in 2004. Judy enjoyed her work, and over the years she collected miniature perfume bottles featuring fragrances such as Estée Lauder's Beautiful and Calvin Klein's Obsession—a collection that reflected her longtime interest in the beauty industry.

Outside of work, Judy was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan, with especially fond memories of Jerry Kramer and the great Packers teams of the 1960s. She enjoyed the world of Disney and visiting its theme parks whenever she could. She also loved television, something she was always happy to admit.

Judy was the mother of three children—John, Karla, and Jay—all of whom grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Her family grew to include three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her sons, John (Alison) of North Potomac, Maryland, and Jay (Laura) of Rockville, Maryland; and her daughter, Karla, of Alexandria, Virginia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Catherine (Justin) of Katy, Texas; Lauren and Brett of Los Angeles, California; and great-grandchildren Ayden, Evelynn, and June.

She is further survived by her brother, John II (Jack) of Wilmington, North Carolina; and sisters, Marilyn of Garland, Texas, and Kathleen of Kimberling City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and John Kuske.

Throughout her life, Judy maintained strong ties to her Milwaukee roots and the interests that defined her—from fashion and fragrances to the Packers, Disney, and her favorite television programs. Her memory will be cherished by her family and all those who knew her.
