Julene Anne Elliott, age 70, passed away at Froedtert Hospital on June 29th. She was born October 11, 1950 in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin to James and Ruth Weber. Her parents and older brother, James, preceded her in death.
Julene was a creative spirit who spent many years knitting and creating crafts which she sold at local fairs and consignment shops. She was a passionate decorator, often utilizing the labor of her husband and son to outfit the interior of their house with each season's appropriate decor. During the winter holidays, she could be found in the kitchen baking and crafting the most delicious peanut butter cups known to humankind. If you were lucky enough to try them, you already know.
Julene was an avid reader of mystery and romance novels that would make her unflappable son blush and a lover of games of all sorts, meeting regularly with a group of friends for card club throughout her retirement. She also loved traveling to casinos and taking trips to Las Vegas with her husband. In addition to the neon lights and the games of chance, she particularly enjoyed taking trips through the midwest when the leaves were starting to turn, admiring the beauty of the autumnal colors along the way.
Julene was employed by and retired from JCPenney, working most of her time there in the catalog and warehouse divisions.
Julene is survived by her husband of 49 years, James, and their son Kevin.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 13 at 10 AM at St. Mary Parish (N89 W16297 Cleveland Ave, Menomonee Falls). Service to follow at 11 AM.
