Julie M Chadwick (a.k.a. Jewels)
Age 59, died peacefully on November 13, 2019 after a long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Julie was born on March 16, 1960 to the late Marion Johnson and Delmar Johnson. Growing up with 11 brothers and sisters, Julie was the sunshine that brightened many rainy days. Her radiant smile and curly hair captured the hearts of all those around her. Wanting to follow her older sisters everywhere they went, the tides turned when her younger sisters wanted to follow her… when she would tell them "You can't come because we are going to ghost town and the big boss there doesn't want little kids there!" :)
When Julie was 16, she gave birth to her first daughter, and by the age of 19, she was a mother to three beautiful daughters. The strength she exhibited raising three toddlers as a teenager carried throughout her life. She was a champion of trial and tribulation, never backing down from a challenge. In her late forties, she worked hard to obtain her high school diploma and a certification in professional maintenance. She worked in the maintenance field for almost two years before she was diagnosed with cancer and had to put work on hold to begin the fight of her life.
Throughout her four-year battle with cancer, Julie (Jewels) remained strong (with "Fight Song" as her anthem). She never let it dampen her spirit, as all anyone remembers about Jewels is her infectious smile, uplifting energy, and bubbly laugh. Any new comers were greeted with a big smile and a warm hug. Known as the hostess with the most-ess, Jewels made sure that when company visited, they would be greeted with a big smile, yummy snacks, and thoughtful gifts in cute little gift bags :)
Her love for music and motorcycles was well known and shared with her long-time boyfriend (her "sweetie"), Nick Staller, whom she met at the Johnson house (a.k.a., the "funny farm") where they also had their first date that involved painting a room and making a tiny mess-up that turned into a memory that stayed with her until the end.
Julie is joined in heaven with her mother and father, her sister Karen, and her two brothers Jimmy and Delmar.
She is survived by her siblings Donny (Mary), Ricky, Vickie (Bob), Mikey, Johnny, Billy, Marydel (Joe), Lori (Joe); her three daughters Tanya (Tom), Angela (Irving), Cari; her five grandchildren Joshua (Kayla), Noah, Eric, Angelica, Isaiah; her great-grandchild Kolton, and the father of her children Johnny.
~Forever loved and an angel in our hearts, we will cherish every moment & memory with you Jewels ~
