Cover for Kathleen Newman's Obituary

Kathleen Newman

August 13, 1945 — July 20, 2020

The light of the world dimmed on July 20, 2020 when we lost Kathleen Jean Newman. If you knew Kathy, you loved Kathy. She had the gift of making every person she met feel at ease and welcome in her presence. She gave the most wonderful hugs, the most thoughtful gifts, had a warm laugh, and would dance her pants off. Kathy is survived by her life long love and high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years Bruce Newman, and her beautiful daughter Kelly and her grandson Warren. Her kindhearted personality can be seen in the eyes of her daughter, the laugh of her grandson and the loyalty and dedication to family of her husband. Kathy was known for her ability to capture the perfect moment through the lens of a camera and those who knew and loved her have cherished memories perfectly captured memories in a single image. No matter how many friends and families went up north to Newman's Hideaway Kathy would make each of them feel as if they were a part of her family. Christmas was a magical time to be with Kathy. She would decorate her home like a winter wonderland with multiple trees, a full display of her Christmas Village and snowmen everywhere. There was ALWAYS something for EVERYONE under the tree; her ability to find the perfect gift for every person was as if she were Mrs. Claus herself. Our lives were better because Kathy was a part of it. May we live our lives with Kathy's love for family and friends, her kindhearted compassion and her love to laugh.
