Katie Madaus

Born to Life December 5, 1983 - Born to Eternal Life August 21, 2022. Loving partner of Mike Laffin. Beloved daughter of Linda and the late Robert Madaus. Dear sister of Kevin Madaus and Kristy (Steve) Schroeder. Special aunt of Abigail and Nathan. Also survived by other relatives, many friends and her fur babies. Katie turned her skills and passion into a career teaching and mentoring students with special needs at Waukesha West and Muskego Norway high schools. She cared deeply for all the people she surrounded herself with; her vibrant, fun-loving, kind personality allowed her to grow a huge network of friends from all walks of life. Katie left this world too soon, but her impact will spread far and wide as all the people she had a special bond with will keep her memory and spirit alive in how they approach life. Friends and family will gather on Friday, September 23rd to remember Katie from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the Schramka-Borgwardt Funeral Home, 11030 W. Forest Home Ave., Hales Corners with a Time of Sharing at 6:00pm. We invite all to celebrate Katie's life on Saturday, Sept 24th, 2022 from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the State Fair Park Harvest Fest. We will have a private venue in the second level of the Expo Center (large building on the south end of park/near Greenfield Ave. - enter through the main doors to the steps/elevator).
