Mequon

Keith Melvin Plambeck passed away peacefully at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, on March 13, 2026, at the age of 78 after a long battle with cancer. Keith was a beloved husband, an adored father and a cherished Papa to his grandchildren. He was born on May 25, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa to Melvin Plambeck and Janice (Keppy) Plambeck. He was raised in Davenport and graduated from Davenport West High School in 1965. He attended Iowa State University, earning a degree in Chemistry.

Keith married the love of his life, Pamela Robertson, on September 2, 1967, in Davenport. Shortly after the birth of their first child, he was accepted into the FBI and moved his family to Milwaukee.

He had a successful 31-year career working in the Milwaukee and New York offices. He was also a member of the Wisconsin Narcotic Officers Association and coordinated cases with various law enforcement task forces and agencies.

Keith and Pam raised their four children in Mequon, Wisconsin. When the children were young, he took them on many camping trips, as he loved being in the parks and lakes that Wisconsin offered. He and Pam enjoyed traveling the country with their kids, putting many miles on a van that Keith customized.

He was also an active gardener, golfer, and loved watching political shows, WWII movies, police shows and old TV westerns. Keith served as a scout master for the local Boy Scout troop for several years. He enjoyed mentoring children and continued that throughout his life.

Keith was the strong foundation upon which our family was built, and we miss him dearly.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clark. He is survived by his wife, Pamela; his four children: Gregory, Christopher (Abby), Bradley, and Elizabeth; his four grandchildren: Ban, Sarah, Andrew, and Natalie; his brother, Curtis; nieces and nephews; many cousins and dear friends.

A celebration of his life will be held near his birthday.
